I think tragedy gives us the opportunity to put meaning into our lives. That’s what happened to me since the Asia tsunami. While recovering in a Thailand hospital. I said “I’m going to help the affected children rebuild their lives.” That’s the mission of The Happy Heats Fund. My boyfriend (Simon Atlee, who dies in the tsunami) was amazing with kids. I’m sure that he’s seeing what we’re doing and smiling from ear to ear.

The Happy Hearts Fund assist Thai children who have been orphaned or otherwise affected by the Asia tsunami. The fund supports local programs that build schools and dormitories and provide psychological support.
